DuoPlay — Privacy Policy

DuoPlay is a collection of two-player board games for iPhone and iPad, published by AIVERSE AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you play.

The short version: DuoPlay has no servers and no accounts, we do not collect or receive any personal information about you, and everything you do in the app stays on your device — apart from the advertising described below.

None. DuoPlay does not operate a server, does not ask you to create an account, and does not transmit any personal information to us. We have no way to identify you, and we receive no data about your use of the app.

The app saves the following locally, on your device only:

• Your match history and win/loss records
• Your head-to-head records against opponents you have played
• Your sound, music, and volume preferences

This never leaves your device. You can erase all of it at any time from Profile › Reset Stats, and deleting the app removes it entirely.

Online multiplayer, friends, and the leaderboard use Apple’s Game Center. When you play online, Apple handles your Game Center nickname, your matches, and your leaderboard score. We only see what Game Center shows us in the app — your opponents’ nicknames — and we never receive your Apple Account details.

Game Center is Apple’s service, and your use of it is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can sign out of Game Center, or manage what it shares, in the iOS Settings app.

“Play Nearby” connects two devices directly over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth using Apple’s MultipeerConnectivity framework. Game moves travel straight between the two devices over an encrypted connection. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party, and no record of the connection is kept after the match ends. iOS will ask your permission before the app can find devices on your local network.

DuoPlay shows banner advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. This is how the app stays free.

Because DuoPlay is suitable for all ages, we configure every ad request as child-directed. In practice this means:

• Non-personalised ads only: Ads are not selected based on your interests or your behaviour in other apps.
• No advertising identifier: Your device’s advertising identifier is not used to track you across apps or websites.
• Family-certified demand only: Only advertisers certified for family audiences are eligible to serve.

Google still processes a limited amount of technical data in order to deliver an ad at all — such as a device identifier, coarse region, and whether an ad was shown or tapped — which it uses for ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, DuoPlay shows a consent form the first time you open the app. You can review or change that choice at any time from Profile › Privacy Options inside the app.

Wherever you are, you can also limit ad tracking system-wide in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking on your device.

DuoPlay is designed to be appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included, and the child-directed advertising settings described above apply to every player regardless of age. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will investigate — though, as described above, we hold no user data at all.

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on your behalf. All of your DuoPlay data is on your device and under your control:

• Delete your data: Profile › Reset Stats, or delete the app.
• Change your ad consent: Profile › Privacy Options.
• Game Center data: Managed through Apple, in the Settings app.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
