FourFold — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how AIVERSE AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with FourFold (the “App”), a wooden T puzzle game for iPhone and iPad. FourFold is a simple puzzle game, and we built it to collect as little personal information as possible.

We do not operate a server for this App. We hold no account for you, and there is no database of ours that your game data is written to. What follows describes the data that stays on your device, and the handful of Apple and Google services the App relies on.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Summary in plain language

  • No account: You never create one. We do not ask for your name, email address, or a password.
  • Your progress stays with you: Completed puzzles, hints, streaks, and settings are saved on your own device, not sent to us.
  • Ads: The App shows ads through Google AdMob, whose SDK collects some device information in order to serve and measure them. The App never asks for permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
  • Purchases: Hint packs are sold and processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
  • Optional extras: Game Center leaderboards and local 1v1 Battle mode are optional, and run through Apple’s own frameworks.

3. Information you give us

None. FourFold has no sign-up and no login. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials, and we do not knowingly collect them.

4. Information stored on your device

So that the game works between sessions, the App saves the following in its own private storage on your device:

  • Puzzle progress, completed levels, and stars earned
  • Your hint balance and your daily-challenge results
  • Streaks and calendar history
  • Sound, language, and other in-app preferences
  • Whether you have finished the tutorial

This stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and it is removed when you delete the App. If you have your device’s own backup switched on, your backup may include this data — under your control, never ours.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows banner ads and optional rewarded video ads using the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK. To serve and measure those ads, Google may collect and process information such as:

  • Device identifiers, including an advertising identifier where one is available
  • Coarse usage and ad-interaction data — which ads were shown, and whether they were tapped
  • Diagnostic, performance, and crash information from the ad SDK
  • General device information, such as device type, operating system, and language

FourFold does not present Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, which means the App never asks for permission to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. Without that permission iOS withholds your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) from the App and its SDKs, so ads are not personalised using it. Some ad measurement may still take place through Apple’s SKAdNetwork, which reports installs to advertisers in aggregate and is designed by Apple not to identify you.

Google acts as an independent controller of the data its SDK collects. Its practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

The App does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.

6. In-app purchases (Apple)

FourFold offers optional consumable in-app purchases — packs of hints. Every payment is processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your card number, billing address, or Apple ID. All we receive from Apple is confirmation that a purchase completed, so the App can credit the hints you bought. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for how Apple handles that transaction.

7. Game Center leaderboards (optional)

If you use the leaderboards, the App submits scores — your fastest daily solve, your total stars, and your longest streak — to Apple’s Game Center, and reads back the entries it shows you. Those entries carry the Game Center nicknames other players have chosen, not their real names.

Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Taking part is optional, and you control it from your device’s Game Center settings.

8. Battle mode — local multiplayer (optional)

Battle mode lets you race a nearby player over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth using Apple’s MultipeerConnectivity framework. The connection is direct and local, between the two devices. We run no server for this feature and we collect and store nothing from these matches.

  • What the other player sees: Your device’s name — the one set in iOS Settings › General › About › Name — is broadcast on the local network while you look for an opponent, and is shown to them during the match.
  • If that name identifies you: Device names often include their owner’s first name. If you would rather not share yours, rename your device in iOS Settings before playing, or skip Battle mode.

The App asks for local network permission the first time you open Battle mode, and only for this purpose. You can withdraw it at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.

9. Notifications

The App may schedule local notifications on your device — a reminder to keep a daily streak alive, for example. These are created and delivered by your device. We operate no push-notification server, we send you nothing, and we collect nothing through them. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings › Notifications › FourFold.

10. How this information is used

The App, and the third-party services described above, use information to:

  • Save and restore your game progress on your device
  • Display and measure advertising
  • Process and deliver in-app purchases
  • Provide optional leaderboards and local multiplayer
  • Diagnose crashes and improve the App’s stability and performance

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

11. Your choices

  • Advertising identifier: Review or reset it in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and under Apple Advertising.
  • In-app purchases: Restrict or disable them in iOS Settings › Screen Time › Content & Privacy Restrictions.
  • Game Center: Manage your account and nickname in iOS Settings › Game Center.
  • Local network: Revoke Battle mode’s access in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
  • Notifications: Manage them in iOS Settings › Notifications › FourFold.
  • Delete your data: Deleting the App removes the game data held on your device.

12. Third-party services

The App relies on these third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

The App includes no analytics or crash-reporting SDK of our own.

13. Data retention

Game data on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data handled by Google (advertising) and Apple (purchases, Game Center) is retained according to their own policies, linked above.

14. Children’s privacy

FourFold is a general-audience game. It is not directed to children under 13 — or the equivalent minimum age where you live — and, because it displays advertising, it is not intended for the App Store Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.

15. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the EU or UK GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, or the Australian Privacy Principles — you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

Because we maintain no accounts and store no personal information on servers of our own, your data is either held on your device, where you control it directly, or handled by Google and Apple. To exercise rights over what those companies process, please use their own tools and policies linked above. You are welcome to contact us as well, and we will help where we are able.

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom: the App does not track you across third-party apps and websites, and never asks for permission to do so.

16. International data transfers

The third-party services the App uses — Google and Apple — may process information in countries other than your own. Those transfers are governed by the safeguards set out in the providers’ respective privacy policies.

17. Security

The App keeps your game data in its own private on-device storage, and relies on Apple’s and Google’s security measures for the data those companies process. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

18. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date shown above and post the new version at this same address. Continuing to use the App after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
